Today’s guest is Juliana Salazar, a creative director with a track record of building trend-setting brands. Juliana started in retail and buying at Saint Laurent, Intermix, and Hirshleifers, before her pivotal moment at Ganni, where she was brought on as brand manager to facilitate Ganni’s US expansion. 6 months into the job, Ganni became the “it girl” brand in New York, and within 8 months, Ganni received investment from L Catterton.
Juliana and I connected through Instagram - I saw that we had a lot of mutual connections and is followed by people I respect. When I read about her experience in HURS, I wanted to invite her on as a guest because I love talking to the “behind-the-scenes” industry people for their perspective.
Juliana’s other work includes Aime Leon Dore, Ghia, Crown Affair, Nike, Comme Si, Kimai, Tiffany & Co, and Soho House. In the interview, she shares personal insights and stories that anyone building a brand can learn from.
