Hi Nadine, I’ll be in Milan from the 2nd to the 6th April and would love to say hello if you have time for a coffee. No pressure at all – just thought I’d reach out in case you’re around and up for a quick catch-up. WhatsApp me on +447891364011 Best Rosanna
Hi Nadine, I have my eyes on Milan so in addition to Magic Habitat's question about real estate. Can you recommend 1. a good visa lawyer - I'm currently looking at Lexidy. 2. visa rules stipulate you need a tenancy agreement as part of the submission, before the visa is approved. Cart before the horse. Is there a way to secure a tenancy agreement on the condition the visa is approved? 3. And The Holy Grail - is there someone on the ground who can help with both visa submission and finding an apartment? Best Rosanna
Would love to hear more about your thoughts re: design goods being the next frontier for consumer goods! I’m an architect/designer frequently playing with the idea of starting a brand / line of products of some kind. From inside the architectural design bubble, the market feels saturated — but I’m sure there’s something more to tap into, especially with social media’s emphasis on curating an aesthetic lifestyle…
Subscriber here who emigrated to Spain (and has just relaunched my substack about our unhinged journey to buy a house here). How distracting (or not) do you find it to not be seduced by the real estate market outside of Milan? And what would be your words of advice for ppl who are tempted to throw caution to the wind, upsticks and buy an old (in need of reform) super cheap property to turn into their dream Artist Residence / Airbnb / Boutique Hotel / etc (lots of Instagram accounts showcasing these type of ‘bargain’ properties and selling La Dolce Vita. Even in relation to Spain, Italy Inc the cities seems seductive in terms of price/culture ratio re real estate.
